About

This exhibition, curated by Museum Partners Consulting, LLC and designed by OneByDesign, explores Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz’ life and legacy.

It spans two floors and includes the story of how they met; Malcolm’s journey to becoming a Muslim and his break with the Nation of Islam; his work as Global Citizen; his assassination; Dr. Betty and her daughters’ work preserving and expanding Malcolm’s legacy; and Malcolm X’s continued influences on hip hop, American culture, and 21st century movements. Quotes from Malcolm X and Dr. Betty grace the walls, inspiring future generations.

Tours of the exhibition are available. The space is also available to rent for events.
