Your knowledge of history, social issues, our knowledge and activism. You will have the chance to learn from experts in the field and develop valuable skills and relationships while making a positive impact.
1. Guiding Visitors: Immerse yourself in the history of this iconic building and the life of Malcolm X. Lead visitors through the architectural wonders that encompass the space, highlighting the significance of each area. Share the extraordinary journey of Malcolm X and the lasting impact of his teachings, inspiring visitors with the spirit of resilience and social justice.
2. Assisting Event Rentals: Experience the dynamic atmosphere as individuals and organizations rent our space for various events. Support the smooth operation of these gatherings, ensuring that guests have an exceptional experience while fostering an environment that aligns with the values upheld by Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz. Contribute to the success of events that promote education, activism, and community empowerment. Assist us during our evening events by helping with event setup, registration, guest assistance, and other logistical tasks. Your dedication will play a vital role in delivering impactful experiences to our attendees.
3. Connecting with Attendees: Forge meaningful connections with visitors and event attendees. Engage in conversations, answer questions, and share insights about the historical significance of the center, as well as the enduring legacies of Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz. Make a lasting impact by facilitating discussions that promote social awareness, inclusivity, and positive change.
4. Outreach and Promotion: Help us spread the word about our events and initiatives by supporting our outreach efforts. Utilize your creativity and passion for community engagement to reach a wider audience and encourage participation.
5. Program Assistance: Provide support during our educational programs and workshops, assisting facilitators and participants. Your involvement will contribute to the success of our programs and help empower individuals in our community.
